幸臣 ngrams are inflated by being a name. Yukito/Yukiomi. I did find an example of 幸臣 on yourei.jp used with this sense.
Neither exists on google news (except 幸臣 in a couple of names). [arch] seems safe.
Google book results return plenty of both forms in non-name looking contexts (I tried の幸臣/の倖臣)
"courtier" felt a bit out of place. Maybe it isn't, but it probably merits the same gloss as the xref. |
