Marcus in a forked thread:
I think it's healthy to be skeptical against including absolutely everything that's in daijs/daijr, but I would think the issue is more with entries that barely register online/super-rare archaicism, than extremely common but easily-picked-apart words like this one.
Jim: I'll close (to untangle an trim the thread, then reopen.) |

Eijiro, GG5 and 10 Tanaka sentences. |

The context is almost always one of "your valuable/precious time" and in requests of thank-yous. I agree with Robin that it needs a bit more thatn the "pol" to make sense of it.
Memo to self: reindex the 10 sentences if this is approved. |

I wouldn't ordinarily take issue with お/ご- submissions that are in the kokugos, but this one is only in daijs with a rather specific definition (not just "time").
Of course, it's harmless, but in this case I'd question whether the daijs entry by itself is enough to warrant adding it (as least as a simple [pol] entry with the same gloss). |

But usage-wise it's also "It's time (to do something)." - "お時間ですよ", so "(your) time" needlessly narrows things down. I think
the pol tag is enough. As for the entry possibly being pointless, OK, but we've agreed that common お/ご- entries that have entries
in the kokugos have a place in jmdict. |

Without the "your", this entry is pretty pointless. And I'm still not sure we need it. |
