Comments: | I wonder if it isn't just broad use of sense 2. Combining 仕方がない and 仕方ない in the one entry would be quite messy as we need to align the kanji form and the reading. |

Comments: | according to native friend, it is often used as just 'very'. this reference would confirm this. btw not sure if there is a difference between sikatanai and sikataganai? otherwise couldn't the two be merged as 'different forms' of the same thing? in GG5, it says sikatanai==sikataganai. |
