清真寺 seems to be the word currently and normally used for mosques in China. We have it in entry #2830472
清真教 seems to be an obsolete name for Islam in China.
Larger kokugo such as kojien and daijisen contain many outdated and archaic words but do not always label them as such explicitly. |

Because I saw in Chinese news a mosque referred to as 清真寺 and the Japanese dictionaries don't say it's arch. |
