Comments: | Your wife is, I suppose, covered under "relative by marriage". According to the diagram in wikipedia, your spouse is indeed part of your 姻族, so this should be a proper antonym. We currently have the term "affinity" attached to 姻戚, but reverso never glosses it this way. However, nearly *all* of the reverso glosses treat this term as "affinity". sankoku defines 姻族 as : 姻戚. The definition of 姻戚 is followed by a ref to 姻族. Both are marked 文. |
