It seems just about every popular video game inevitably spawns
adaptations into different forms of media (manga / anime / film /
novels / live-action television) featuring the same characters,
storylines, and settings. The line between "product" and "work of
art" is already somewhat blurry, but it would seem odd to me to
single out games into a different category than those other
mediums only because they're interactive software. |

I have no problem with tagging manga and anime as "work", but I suspect video game series are perhaps more appropriately labelled "product". Any opinions on this? |
