Isn't [ok] usually used for things like kana-reform/pronunciation-changed-over-time things?
I wouldn't consider this website authoritative, but it's telling me what I want to hear:
https://zatugaku-gimonn.com/entry779.html#a1
剃刀を「カミソリ」と読むのは”熟字訓(じゅくじくん)”と言われる読み方で、
jukujikun
sankoku identifies with two red dots, which is 当て字、熟字訓など
そり seems like quite an unusual reading indeed. Can't find in dictionaries.
nikk gives a standalone noun entry for 剃 = そり = razor, synonym かみそり
https://kotobank.jp/word/剃-573306
そり【剃】
〘名〙 (動詞「そる(剃)」の連用形の名詞化)
① 剃刀(かみそり)。
※日葡辞書(1603‐04)「シャウリャク〈訳〉カミソリの代わりに Sori(ソリ)と言うように」
Seems like そり furigana over 剃刀 kanji as an obscure stylistic choice by a Japanese author or two. As a J->E reference, displaying そり doesn't seem to be of much practical benefit. |
