See comments on 1977930. I think it should be merged here. Use of this verb is rare in either reading (particularly vs. other formulations of "to cough").
I'm xrefing the non-suru noun 咳 with a new usage note. Detailed comments and questions there on that. Not really sure what you'd prefer, but hopefully something can be added here. |
