I'm seeing both used, but it's mostly "low Earth orbit" in space industry documents. Some cases of "low-Earth orbit".

I see we have quite a few glosses referring to Earth, the planet, without capitalization.
A database search for "earth" shows 499 entries. Might be a little tedious if we want to find and fix all the errors.
