  Comments:
sense 2 is arguably confusing. does 'male who has had a sex change' a 'former female who is currently a male' or 'a current male who used to be a female'? "transwoman" appears to be the appropriate term here. perhaps:

transwoman;[expl]male-to-female transsexual

No mention of "performer" in the references.
