Comments: | 盲腸 = blind gut = cecum. the cecum is not the same thing as the appendix (=虫垂). koj, daij, etc. have separate senses for cecum vs. appendix and note that 盲腸 is merely a colloquialism for the appendix (and for appendicitis). since appendix is [col], the [anat] tag really only applies to 盲腸=cecum, i think. i think this should be restored with "cecum" as sense 1 instead of sense 2 as before. (this would match the ordering of meanings given in gg5 and in the kokugos) |
