anything that obscure probably shouldn't get a headword over the commonly used katakana loanword. and (in my own personal opinion) i wouldn't bother with many of those archaic kanji writings. i think it's best to clear them with a kokugo first to see which ones dictionary compilers have thought worthy of inclusion. but i don't speak for jim or paul |
