  Comments:
None of my medical glossaries have it. I'd avoid it.

neither daijr nor meikyo have "rickets".
koj has "①脊髄などの萎えた_病人_。" (not the disease)
daijs has (1)身体を支える骨がないかのように、姿勢を保てないこと。 (not relating to disease)
gakkoku does have 背骨がなえて、まっすぐ立てない・こと(人)。
gg5 has "rickest; rachitis."
  Comments:
I don't think "rickets" is really right. koj talks about a weakened spinal cord (gakkoku about a weakened spine). Sounds more like scoliosis, maybe? or should we just have it as "having a weakened spine"?
