| Comments: | It doesn't refer to the principle/policy itself. In all the examples in the refs, it comes straight after a noun. I don't think 一本やり itself is adjectival. I don't think the third sense is needed. It's only in daijs and it's not how you'd say "one/single spear" in modern Japanese. The other kokugos have "槍一突きで勝負をきめること" but it's archaic. |
