All of the kokugos contrast this word with 往訪, and it's not clear
from our current glosses what the difference is.

If I'm understanding them correctly, it sounds like 往訪 is used when
the subject is oneself, and 来訪 is used when the subject is someone
else. I'm not sure how to express this clearly and concisely, though,
or if this information is even needed.
