  Comments:
The Wikipedia article on 社名表示灯 mentions it in the first sentence. Googling "行灯 タクシー" returns plenty of relevant hits. I think it's worth having.

This sense is not in any references. and no WWW images seem to show this usage. 
I see the Wikipedia page for 行灯 lists some places where the term is used and the 6th (out of 9) says "タクシーや観光バスの社名表示灯や消防車の所属表示灯は、通称で行灯と呼ばれる。"
I'm not inclined to add this as a second sense as I feel it is a distant outlier and would rather distort the entry.
