フルベド is not in references, gets 0 n-grams and is only in a handful of WWW pages, all of which seem false positives (e.g. "full bed". I don't think it has a case for inclusion. |

Note the existing entry for 外果皮. In the quoted book, the following two sentences appear:
- 外側の皮は、日本語だと外果皮というんだ。
- ちなみにミカンなどの外側の皮はラテン語で「黄色いもの」という意味で、「フルベド」と呼ばれているよ。
So it would seem that 外果皮 and フルベド are equivalent, and are rendered 'exocarp' in English.
(Note further that 'epicarp' is a synonym for 'exocarp', and so should appear alongside 'exocarp' in both entries.) |
