Comments: | OK. We can restrain the addition of others. |

Comments: | A "coming to" sense for 来 was proposed in 2020 but I argued against it as it's a kanwa meaning, not a prefix. My position hasn't changed. With the obvious exception of 来日, 来[country] terms are quite uncommon, as Japanese people would usually talk about *going* to those countries, not *coming* to them. I don't think we need to add any others. |

Comments: | If JMdict were to be a dictionary for Japanese learners, then we need the individual entries to show readings (cf. 来阪 らいはん). But if it's a dictionary for translators, then a concise format is ok, though a database of one-kanji abbreviations (阪 はん=大阪 おおさか etc.) is preferable. |

Comments: | I wonder if it would be better to extend the 来 entry with a "coming to/visit" sense, rather than add these formations as entries. |
