Comments: | やめておく→やめとく(common contraction)→やめとき (common ksb "mild imperative") Nothing irregular about this expressiom but it's likely the most common example of this type of construction by far, it's interjection-like and beginners have to jump through 2 hoops to figure this one out (they have to find the とく;どく entry and the く→き mild ksb imperative isn't covered by any current entry and is not a conjugation that's usu covered by any of the apps/dics built on top of jmdict).
