Most English adjectives derived from nouns are represented as [noun]の in Japanese dictionaries. It doesn't necessarily mean they're used that way. I don't think 動詞の is ever adjectival. Even with something like 動詞の活用, which you could translate as "verbal conjugation", it's ultimately just "conjugation of verbs", and this isn't the sort of thing we use adj-no for nowadays. |
