There is a small number of pages using the kanji forms, so I guess they should be added. We have 此れ迄/此れまで (uk) in the これまで entry. |

Tempted to add 此れまでで, but it's pretty rare. |

Lit. "until now, and also now" (with a slight reference we don't know how it will be in the future)
The exp. is not the same with これまで or 今まで, and the meaning differs deeply. It is always used together with superlative adverbs.
It does not appears in Japanese Dictionary as it is a phrase made out of simple grammar structures, however such structures are especially hard to understand for foreigners (as cognition of time in Japanese and other languages differs deeply) and I believe it should be indicated as a separate entry in a good Japanese-English Dictionary. Moreover the way this two phrases always come inside superlative clauses is very peculiar.
ex.
「今までで一番やさしい経済の教科書。」
「今までで最も失礼だった日本人。」
「これまでで最も完璧な試合。」 |
