Comments: | Yes, you're right. It's the post itself that "goes up in flames", not its author. I think "Internet pitchfork mob" is a good keyword/key phrase to include in a gloss though because it's a closely related phenomenon. |

Comments: | Not necessarily harassment. Usually it's a thing (article, statement, policy, etc.) that does the 炎上ing. How about "stirring up a storm of criticism online"? I think it's an improvement on the gloss I came up with last year. |
