I have to agree with Rene. I have looked into this a fair bit, and the meanings don't really split into senses very well, and if they did, "coordinate" wouldn't be one. The main sense that could be split out is the one on tuning instruments, but that's an application of "adjustment".
None of the JEs split. Daijirin does, but it's pretty subtle.

i don't think this is really two senses, and i don't think coordination is the best gloss...  almost always 'adjustment' or 'regulation' in my experience.  "coordination" makes a good third gloss, i think

Hi, it seems to me there is a clear distinction between two senses of 調整 (one could perhaps be called "structural" or "organisational" and the other one "technical"), thus this proposal. As far as daily usage is concerned, the proposed sense 1 seems to be the one that one can encounter most often (perhaps on account of the fact that it is used in many job descriptions).
(Plan B: In case you find the separation into 2 senses not warranted, i would like to propose alternatively that "coordination" be mentioned first in the list)
