but the current expl makes it seem as if it's not vague at all but very non-ambiguous, which I think gives the wrong

'western Japan' itself is vague, so i don't see the need for a note saying that the term is vague. daijr offers the geological definition, which corresponds very well with what i consider to be the west-east division from a practical standpoint: the separation of the power grids into 60Hz and 50 Hz. daijisen agrees in their definition for 糸魚川静岡構造線: 東北日本と西南日本の境目 |
