Is an outsider very likely to come across this word, though? I think we have plenty of entries that are more complex and less generally

Certainly, people who aren't familiar with video game combos or rhythm games would have no idea what it means, but I'm not sure it can be adequately explained in a short dictionary entry like this.
This is actually a rather specific and technical gaming term. "Hitting all of the notes" is a simplification. Defining it succinctly requires referencing other gaming terms. |

I'm afraid its meaning was quite opaque to me. Even in a video game context (of which I am NOT familar) I'd have interpreted it more as a jazz combo or something like that. In the interests of helping the broader users some sort of entry would be useful. |
