Comments: | I think しょしゅん and はつはる should be separate entries. They share the first sense but しょしゅん is defined in the kokugos as 陰暦正月/陰暦一月 whereas はつはる is just 新年, i.e. it's still used to refer to "New Year" in the solar calendar. The JEs have "New Year" for はつはる but not for しょしゅん. |
