It was probably a mistake to define this as "self-appointed enforcer of _social distancing_", even with the "etc." tacked on, as 自粛 has 
little to do with social distancing. The things I remember from the news at the time were mainly about people posting anonymous notes 
(sometimes with threats) on businesses remaining open.

I'd say "enforcer of lockdown recommendations" except there never was an actual lockdown in place here. "enforcer of government 
recommendations to combat the spread of COVID-19" is probably too wordy. What's a good compromise?
