I'm not sure it's a typo - it's in Daijirin, which has it in the entry with 挺 and 梃. But it seems to be the only 国語 that does that. |

It’s a typo to use 丁 as a counter for guns etc. (link to correct counter); it may be used as an abbreviation though (I don’t know). For now I’ve removed it and put a link to the (easily confused and less common) proper kanji; if it’s used as an abbreviation (as in 才/歳), a separate entry is in order. |
