Apologies; my thought process was trying to group the related senses together somehow as they often are in Japanese dictionaries, but you're right, it does look odd way down at #6. I think this looks better.  
Keeping to ordering by usage, I'm suggesting moving the "presence" sense back down.

I have a problem with the "ago; before; previously; prior" sense being pushed down to #6. My experience is that it's a very common use of 前/まえ, and that is borne out in published dictionaries where it's usually in the first couple of senses. I just looked through the sentences in the Tanaka collection - about 1,500 contain it - and the before-in-time sense is probably the most common, followed by the in-front-of sense.
I think in the interests of having senses in a semblance of usage order, that sense needs to move to #2. I'll try it now and see how it looks.

i haven't vetted the previous edits, but just want to comment that i am uncomfortable with this sense ordering.  some variant of "front" or "before" (in the spatial sense) should be first.
