seems reasonable

  Comments:
We tend not to use [expl] for such short glosses. I'd regard "Japanese archery" more as an English name for 弓道.

kyudo | ˈkjuːdəʊ |
noun [mass noun]
the Japanese martial art of longbow archery, incorporating set rhythmic movements and practised in a meditative state.
  Comments:
maybe without the macrons and adding the expl? 'japanese' presumably shouldn't be in quotation marks because i think this is specifically japanese and 弓術 is the general term

english wikipedia uses the macrons but i think that's only because a while back someone went through and (inappropriately, IMO) changed a huge number of Japanese language entries to make them look like foreign words (i.e., italicized) even if they have been adopted into english as loanwords. the international kyudo federation doesn't use the macrons

Seems the romaji form is used a bit. It's in some new Tatoeba sentences.
