Comments: | I think it's "esp. in sport" rather than [sports] |

Comments: | Looks OK. Could have a "sports" tag? For 戦国時代 maybe some extension of sense 3 would be better. |

Comments: | What does everyone think of something like this? It seems like this usage is especially well-established in sports, while it seems to be more commonly ”戦国時代" within quotes when it's non-sports contexts (e.g. food delivery apps, idol groups), which seems less dictionary entry-worthy, but there's a lot of overlap. If this goes in, 戦国時代 should probably have a similar sense. |

Comments: | 「誰が勝ってもおかしくない、超超戦国駅伝」 ↑ just heard on tv https://runnerspulse.jp/column191223 今年の箱根駅伝は、「戦国駅伝」と言われている。(2019) apparently used to mean "hotly-contested" in this context. I don't think it needs to be a separate sense just based on these examples, just wanted to note it down here for now. |
