I've made separate entries for イエズス and イイスス. I propose keeping イエースース here as it's gets enough usage to be worth recording. Definitely irregula. |

If we want to keep the source language as Latin, イイスス should be a separate entry. It comes from the modern Greek pronunciation.
We also might want to make イエズス a separate entry to indicate that it was used by the Catholic Church in Japan.
I don't think the Christian tag is appropriate here. It's the name of a person, not really a "Christian term".
I don't think we need イエースース. It's just an approximation of the original Greek/Latin pronunciation. It's not in the refs. |
