it seems unlikely to me that a CCP bulletin that finished publication in 1988 received news tags and deserves to be recorded in the main dictionary. i think the news tags are likely to come from 五星紅旗 (the national flag of china) and/or the car company Hongqi.
wikipedia suggests that 紅旗 is a chinese term, and nikk's examples are from the 1100s, so possibly arch as a standalone term? the current meaning for 紅旗 belongs in enamdict |
