i realize that place names are in the name dictionary, rather than the main
dictionary, but i was wondering if it might be worth adding a note or a link
here to point out that 両国 is also a place name.
i was not aware that it is a section of tokyo, so when i read it in a story, i was
utterly confused trying to understand how it meant "both countries" in
context. i had to go search elsewhere on the web to figure it out.
this may be obvious to an advanced speaker -- and in the past my
suggestions for changes that would benefit a beginning/intermediate student
are sometimes rejected as being too obvious, even though they weren't to me,
which is why i came to the site -- it could benefit some users. |
