actually, i think that daijs entry is rather old, referring to bird flu, etc. it definitely seems to be getting some play in terms of wuhan, so maybe this is better |

as per the link above, there's an old book with this name, but if you do a google search with the timeframe set prior to nov. 1 2019, it seems like there's very little support for 医学観察
it might be nice to have a "topical" flag or something so that neologism entries pop back up for reexamination after a year or so |

It's really medical + observation. Sure it's being used in the context of the novel coronavirus, but I feel Daijisen has jumped the gun by making quite a specific entry like that.
If this goes ahead, I think it should just be "medical observation". |
