My old friend Bart Mathais (ex prof of Japanese in Hawaii) always said that the real test
for a noun was whether it was used with が. I don't think this is a noun.
Yes, the other ~中 terms need review; many are tagged as nouns. |

we have this sense of 中 marked as [n-suf]. if it's a suffix, then 公開+中 is a single word and so for consistency we shouldn't normally mark any of these ~中 entries as [exp] (i haven't looked to see how many are) |

I don't think noun is the right PoS for this either. I'd go with [exp,adj-no]. That's what we have on a few other 〜中 entries but we're not at all consistent. |

It definitely does seem a bit obvious, but (at least to me) the combination of 公開 + 中 becoming both "now available" and "now showing" in certain contexts was a bit unintuitive. |
