I think tapered knife makes it kinda sound like it's notably more tapered, than a usual knife ...but I'm not sure how exactly to write as a definition it, myself, either.
"nata with a more normal blade profile, tapering to a point" would be accurate and all, but would leave people wondering what a nata is. |
