My understanding is that [n-adv] means a noun that also can be used as an adverb (without に).
The months are generally not used without に.
(In informal speech you can of course always drop particles).
So the months are not [n-adv].
Just my two cents. |

That is my understanding of the [n-t] tag as well.
If we need the tag at all is another question,
but that would be a topic for the mailing list.
The same could be asked about [n-adv].
Maybe just tagging words as [n], [adv], [n,adv] etc. would be simpler. |

I feel like n-t (to the extent it's necessary) should maybe be reserved for entries expressing time that can (or must) be used without に,
like 今日、あした, etc.. But our guidelines specify it as "時相名詞" and I don't know what that is exactly and google isn't very helpful. |

Should we make these n? Jim commented earlier this year that he thought "n" was best (for the 三月 entry), so that's what that one's
tagged as now. Most of the others seem to be just tagged n-adv. |

I like [n] personally. I'm not actually familiar with the
term "temporal nouns" and I tried googling 時相名詞 but came
up with very little, no proper book hits for example. Kinda
seems it would only apply to words like あした which aren't
followed by に? |

The reason for that POS is lost in the mists of time. I think I took them from Chasen years ago. I see 月曜日, 火曜日, etc are "n-adv,n-t". The n-grams show they are most commonly followed by の and に. I think "n-t,n-adv" is probably best. |

I see both Daijirin and Koujien have きさらぎ as a gloss for 二月. So if the major 国語s are doing it, I think it's appropriate we do so too. Separate sense? |
