Comments: | This sense is not in any references,but it came up on the Honyaku list in a discussion of 見切り版, which in clocks and watches means the part around the glass. Note we already have an entry for 見切り線 : "boundary; edge; break line". I asked about it being an undocumented sense of 見切り and one of the very authoritative people there replied: "Yes, it has the meaning of "edge", used mainly with reference to the edge of an architectural member." |
