In a fork I commented "Good question. The souroujiten site says "~したところ" which I think is rather context-dependent. It get about 1600 n-grams counts, and AFAICT they are split between pages of 候文 and names of weather stations.
We have quite a few 候X entries, so I'm reluctant to toss this one out."
Let's let it go for now, and if anyone into 候文 raises it we can look again. |

That ref of Luce's maps it to ~したところ, which seems to mean "just" as in "バスは今出発したところだ。The bus has just left. " |
