  Comments:
I think since アナウンサー != announcer in this respect, it is appropriate to reflect it somehow, and that should be kept away from the main sense. It's useful information and should be out there in some form.

adding back. i suggest that the sense is unnecessary and should just be removed

if that gloss is to be kept, it should be its own sense. otherwise it pollutes sense 1 and makes it seem like it applies to all announcers. this has been sitting for ages. removing the sense to approve.

  Comments:
I don't think it's really a separate sense, though. It's
just that the job of an アナウンサー sometimes is rather
broader (albeit in a quite specific way) compared to what
"announcer" is in the English-speaking world.

Better to keep the アナウンサ.
I think that extended gloss would be better as a distinct sense. All the dictionary refs just have the vanilla announcer, and I'm sure I've seen/heard アナウンサーs doing the regular job.
