According to wikip, most citrus fruits are hybrids
of four ancestral citrus fruit species:
citron, pomelo, mandarin and (Ichang) papeda.
Yuzu is a hybrid of mandarin and papeda.
So "species of aromatic Asiatic citron" is maybe not an ideal gloss. |
