Comments: | About sense 2, I was going to use "to do something repeatedly". But there are example sentences like 彼はうつうつとしながら日を 重ねた (prog3e), 年を重ねて今日還暦を迎えました (djr), hence I chose "to go through something repeatedly". Not sure if it's a good description of this sense though. |
