In the サラリーマン entry, "salaryman" is tagged as
wasei. I think it could be tagged both as wasei and be a
gloss, as it does see some usage in English, but the two
entries should at least be aligned. I don't think the
fact it's only a prefix/suffix changes it's an
abbreviation. The [abbr] tag is a good etymology
indicator, if nothing else. |

This is only ever used as suffix/prefix so I wouldn't describe it as an abbreviation. These x-refs are more helpful.
Probably doesn't need to be two senses. Daijs and Nikk only have one. |
