Comments: | Despite what GG5 says, I don't think there are more than 2 senses here. 頭文字 is not a synonym for 大文字. It has to come from the head of a word. "Acronym" is misleading. I see some example sentences on Weblio where 頭文字 is translated as "acronym" but it really means "initials" in that context. Keep "acronym" for 頭字語. |
