if anything, i think sencha would be sense #1 or perhaps both. if included, i don't see why it would be restricted to sense 2. e.g., wikipedia gives 'sencha' as sense 1 |

The second definition could be expanded with the cultivation method. I just noticed that this needed to be improved. I also added sencha in English because it's sold under this name around the world and is quite well-known as a particular type of Japanese tea. |
