Refs: | GG5: "聞いた端から忘れる forget sth 「the moment [as soon as] one hears it", which it puts in the same sense as "every last one". I think it's missed the mark a bit. 中辞典 (in a sub-sense labelled "…する端から" -母親が部屋を片付けるはしから子供が散らかした. No sooner had their mother tidied the room than the children turned everything topsy-turvy. -彼女は娘からものをもらうはしから人にあげてしまう. No sooner does she get something from her daughter than she gives it away. |
