Comments: | From the text and pictures on the following webpages (parts 1 and 2 of a blog article on 戸走り) it appears to me that the 戸走り can be a relatively substantial, thick piece of lumber that perhaps functions as both threshold and runner. I guess "runner (of a sliding door)" works fine, though. . The text says, in part, 戸走り・・・。ってご存知ですか? (とばしり)と読みます。 雨戸を閉めたり開けたりする時の木製のレール?ですかね・・・。 現在では、ほとんど、アルミサッシとなっていますが、以前は、全て木製でした。 溝が付いていて、雨戸が通れるようになっています。 |
