i don't think "seeing is believing" is right, since--as daijirin suggests--it's used after you've seen something (and suggests that you would have been ~~wrong~~ to take what you heard at face value), whereas we would use "seeing is believing" in english to suggest that now that you have seen what you heard, you believe it |
