The practice that's developed is to mark the source gairaigo as wasei, and not the abbreviation. In this case we didn't have the source form as an entry, and since Daijirin has an entry marked wasei, it's probably OK.
I've now proposed an entry for メンチカツレツ/ミンチカツレツ, so the wasei tag can go there. |
